December 10 Newsletter

You might think that things are starting to slow-down a little for our Reds players but
nothing could be further from the truth.

The Reds are right in the middle of some intense training and Coach Ewen McKenzie is
driving them hard before their Christmas break.

During the week the team underwent sprint testing at the Queensland Academy of Sport.
They don?t call him Rocket for nothing ? Rod Davies sprinted up a storm cementing
himself as the Reds quickest player. Find out more underneath.

Also during the week long-time rugby servant and current Reds scrum coach Alec Evans
was honoured with a Queensland Service to Sport Award for the invaluable contribution
he has made to the game of rugby.

Tickets are now on sale for the Reds trial match against the Crusaders in Cairns on
January 29. Ticketlink is the agent for tickets and Cairns officials are hoping for a
sell-out. Details below.

A big thank you to all our Facebook fans. We have now reached 10,000 members and are
gunning for 15,000. Kimmy Rapilla from PNG, home of Reds scrumhalf Will Genia, was the
winner of the Reds ?10,000 fans in 2010? Facebook campaign.

And keep an ear tuned to Brisbane radio station 4BC. In the lead-up to Christmas the
Reds are launching their ?12 days of Christmas in 6 Days? competition. Because the
Reds are Bigger Faster Stronger they are doubling the prizes and the pace for those who
join the Reds First XV in December. 4BC will announce two winners each day who will
receive a signed Reds Jersey and football. The competition culminates in a barbeque
with the team after their final training session of 2010. Stay tuned and if you
haven?t yet signed up ? now is your chance to join the Reds First XV.

Merry Christmas ? and remember Santa is Red and so is Rudolph?s nose. Join us.
